Dear Sir
I wish to convey my objections regarding the proposed increase in
Senedd members.
In a country of than 4,000,000, we do not need more
representatives. In a country where children are living in poverty,
we do not need more Senedd members.
We are a struggling nation with all our NHS hospitals in special
measures. Surely the proposed increase in Senedd members and
therefore costs, like the huge cost of bringing in a blanket 20mph
default speed limit across Wales, would be better spent on
increasing services that we actually need? Education, social care
and the NHS need more funding.
The proposed changes, I.e. voting for a closed group of people from
a particular party excludes independent representation.
The proposed changes to the Senedd are therefore far too costly and
totally democratic.
Yours faithfully
Jane Stratton
